The Bronx in the 1970s was a thing to behold. Loud, stinking, and fast, it was a buffet of New York City’s promise and betrayal. Grand Concourse Studios is the story of a real life photography studio in the middle of it all, documenting the lives of a world changing quicker by the day.
We follow the action through the Studio’s rag-tag employees. They’re given access to the borough’s diverse flood of weddings, bar-mitzvahs, quinceañeras, and communions. In this world of tuxedoes and open bars they’re masters at navigating family drama to capture the perfect moment. But their personal lives are another story.
Funny, chaotic, and heart-warming, Grand Concourse Studios is dedicated to telling the story of people. It explores how fantastic celebrations give way to the realities of life. And how no matter the setting we all search for hope amongst change.
